In May 2019, the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy led a review of the Providence Public School District (PPSD). They did so at the invitation of Angelica Infante-Green, the Rhode Island Commissioner of Education, with the support of Governor Gina Raimondo and Mayor Jorge Elorza.
