Police in the State of Texas interrogated five people suspected of leading a trafficking operation.

The news comes after the discovery of more than one hundred people locked inside a house.

The building, on the outskirts of the city of Houston, was raided on Wednesday.

Authorities said that they found suspected illegal immigrants in miserable conditions. Some were children of 5 years.

It is believed alleged traffickers had locked them waiting for a payment and had removed their clothes and shoes so that they could not flee.

Most of the immigrants were from Mexico and Central America.

Apparently the house only had one bath and the windows were covered.
