Albert Einstein Is Born
Although a self described pacifist, his works contributed to the creation of the atomic bomb

Albert Einsten was born in the German town of Ulm on March 14, 1879. His rejection of the education system and militarism of Germany at the time led him to move to Switzerland in 1895. There he began his studies at the Polytechnic of Zurich graduating in physics and mathematics. However no professor accepted his assistantship application because of his known tendency to not conform to the standards that preceded him. He finally achieved a stable job in the Patent Office in Berne and there, counting only with paper, pen and his intelligence gave birth to the three articles that revolutionized the world of Physics in 1905. He was the scientists who developed the world famous equation E = mc2. Of his articles, the one dedicated to the photoelectric effect eventually won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921, while centering on the «theory of special relativity» would bring him worldwide fame. He died in 1955 in the United States.
