Protests accompany visit of Peggy Cabral in Providence

Rhode Island - Little more than a dozen Dominicans protested outside the town of Providence on Monday, the presence of Peggy Cabral, widow of José Francisco Peña Gómez, leader of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) in the Dominican Republic and who now has her own TV show. At least five elected Latino officials are supporting Gina Raimondo in her gubernatorial campaign.  Among these officials are Providence City Council members Sabina Matos, Luis Aponte, and Davian Sanchez and state Representatives Grace Diaz and Anastasia Williams. The Latino leaders joined together with Gina Raimondo on Tuesday to launch Latinos con Gina at a kickoff party. Fung Discusses Fatal Accident As A Teenager

Rhode Island - One of the leading candidates for governor of Rhode Island announced that he was responsible for a fatal accident 25 years ago.
