Providence Police make apprehension in Citizens Bank Robbery

Providence, RI- Providence Police have apprehended Nekita Morandi, age 29 of
Providence, for the bank robbery which occurred on March 19th at the Citizens Bank
in the Stop and Shop located at 333 West River Street.

At approximately 13:37 hours on the above date, Morandi approached the bank teller
with a note demanding money. Once the teller gave Morandi an undetermined amount of
US Currency she fled the scene in what appeared to be a 2000 model Toyota Camry.

After further investigation police confirmed that Morandi was responsible for the
robbery and she was apprehended without incident on March 22nd. She was arraigned in
6th District Court on March 23rd and charged with first degree robbery.
