Olympic and Paralympic Caucus Co-Chair Statement on 2018 Paralympic Winter Games

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressmen Jim Langevin (D-RI), Dave Reichert (R-WA), Ed
Perlmutter (D-CO), and Tom Rooney (R-FL), the co-chairs of the Congressional Olympic
and Paralympic Caucus, released the following statement congratulating the athletes
competing in the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games:

«We are proud to support the U.S. Paralympic Team of 20 women and 54 men competing
in the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games. Their determination and
independence is empowering to individuals of all abilities and promotes a more
inclusive society. As co-chairs of the Congressional Olympic and Paralympic Caucus,
we look forward to watching the U.S. Paralympians achieve sporting excellence. We
are thrilled to cheer on Team USA as they compete against athletes from 45 other
countries across the sport disciplines of alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country
skiing, ice hockey, snowboarding and wheelchair curling.»
