Cranston’s tree lighting ceremony

Cranston- The festivities begin at around 6 p.m. Dec. 7 with holiday music performed by members of
the Cranston High School East and BASICS Choirs, including a trumpet solo by Domenic
Kaffenberger.

The annual city tradition brings together the entire Cranston community for an
evening of merriment and cheer, complete with cookies and hot chocolate doled out by
Senior elves.

Parking for the event is available behind City Hall, located at 869 Park Ave.
Motorists should be advised that Park Avenue is closed for most of the event and to
seek alternate routes.

Mayor Fung thanked all the city employees and volunteers who make the event possible
every year.
