Bank robbery suspect Nicholas Loverdi was arraigned Friday night
Cranston – Nicholas Loverdi was arraigned before a Justice of the Peace
at Cranston Police Headquarters.
The judge set bail at $30,000 with surety on the Cranston Police charge of second
degree robbery, for the robbery of Webster Bank. He will appear in Kent County Court
on Monday November 21, 2016 on the Cranston charge. A second charge of second degree
robbery for the January 2016 robbery of Bank RI will be presented to the court at
the Monday arraignment.
Also at Cranston Police Headquarters, he was arraigned on a Rhode Island State
Police Charge of Possession of a stolen motor vehicle and was given $10,000 bail
with surety. He will be presented before the Washington County Court on November 22,
2016 for that charge.
Loverdi was held as a probation violator from a previous charge of Breaking and
Entering, and was remanded to the ACI pending the above court dates.
