 Woman charged with harboring Providence murder suspect

CENTRAL FALLS – On November 27, 2016 information was received that David Deleon (19) who was wanted by the Providence Police Department in connection to a homicide was hiding out within the third floor apartment of 108 Hedley Avenue.

As a result, detectives and members of the patrol bureau responded to the aforementioned location where they spoke with a female, identified as Erika Gonzalez (39), and the renter of the apartment.

After speaking with Ms. Gonzalez, officers located Deleon hiding in a secret compartment within the bathroom wall. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Ms. Gonzalez was also taken into custody and charged with harboring a criminal where she was arraigned before the Sixth District Court in Providence the following day and held as a Superior Court Violator.
