RI State Police Make Sixty-Four Arrests Over the St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Colonel Steven G. O’Donnell, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police and Commissioner of Public Safety, announces that as a result of our efforts to continue to make our highways safer, members of the Rhode Island State Police have arrested thirteen (13) subjects for Driving While Intoxicated during over the St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. In addition to the DWI arrests, they made fifty-one (51) other arrests on miscellaneous charges.

The following is a list of subjects, who were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated:

Segundo Paguay, age 41, of 38 Main Street, Apt 2, East Greenwich, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (.130/.129)

Lindsey McCormick, age 24, of 140 County Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (.192/.186)

Richard Rivera, age 24, of 8 Norwich Avenue Apt. 1, Providence, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (.157/.157)
• Receiving stolen goods under $500

Christian Deering, age 45, of 47 Walnut Street, Rutland, Massachusetts
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (.146/.162)

John M. Petrino, age 22, of 205 Orchard Hill Drive, Stratford, Connecticut
• Driving Under the Influence (BAC Unknown)
• Refusal to Submit to a Chemical test

Glenn Cocce, age 60, of 29 Central Boulevard, Monument Beach, Massachusetts
• Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (.197/.200)

Christopher Jordan, age 38, of 10 Sagamore Street, Newport, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence (BAC Unknown)
• Refusal to Submit to a Chemical test

Nicholas Palumbo, age 22, of 29 Cliff Road, Warwick, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence (BAC Unknown)

Michael Perry, age 53, of 66A Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs (.221/.222)

Stephen Studley, age 26, of 26 Richard Smith Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence (BAC Unknown)
• Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test

Seaquey Roberts, age 29, of 105 Sinclair Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence (BAC Unknown)
• Refusal to Submit to a Chemical test

Lonnald Chhay, age 28, of 38 Paliotta Parkway, Cranston, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs (.120/.124)

Jerry Warnick, age 49, of 43 Phelps Road, Middletown, Rhode Island
• Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs (.140/.141)

Troopers also issued four hundred and eighty-two (482) citations and handled twenty-eight (28) accidents over the period. One of those accidents involved an intoxicated driver that was arrested.

The Rhode Island State Police will continue to aggressively enforce the motor vehicle laws with increased emphasis on speeding, driving while impaired, aggressive driving, texting violations, seatbelt and child restraint violations. We believe that by continuing these enforcement efforts, it makes the highways safer for all travelers.
