 RHODE ISLAND STATE POLICE SEARCHING FOR A SUBJECT WHO IS WANTED FOR CASINO GAMING VIOLATIONS

Rhode Island – Friday morning at approximately 6:50AM, security personnel from Twin River Casino as well as the Lincoln Police attempted to approach an unknown male within the casino regarding suspected cheating activity. The subject, upon seeing the personnel approaching, fled from the casino, ran across the casino parking lot and entered the adjacent wood line area. A search of the area by members of the Rhode Island State Police, Lincoln Police and North Providence Police resulted in the suspect not being located.
The Rhode Island State Police is looking for a black male, approximately 5’10” to 5’11” with a heavy set build. The suspect has a black beard and was wearing a blue Kansas City Royal’s baseball hat. He also was wearing a light grey sweatshirt, a white t-shirt and blue jeans. While he ran from the casino, the subject lost one of his sneakers, which has been recovered by law enforcement. The Rhode Island State Police encourages anyone with information regarding the subject’s identity or whereabouts to contact the Rhode Island State Police Detective Bureau at (401) 444-1012. The subject is wanted for Casino Gaming offences, in violation of Rhode Island General Laws, § 42-61.3-2 – Casino Gaming Crimes. Any person convicted of violating this section shall be guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years or a fine of not more than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), or both.
