RI – On August 6, 2016, at 1:35 AM, Troopers from the Rhode Island State Lincoln Woods Barracks and Officers from North Providence Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 146 North in the Town of North Providence.
Initial investigation revealed that a BMW was traveling on Route 146 North in the low speed lane in the Town of North Providence. A Nissan that was also traveling in the low speed lane approached the BMW at a high rate of speed. The operator and three passengers in the BMW were wearing their seatbelts and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital via rescue for non-life threatening injuries. The operator of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
