Raimondo to Name New Director of Veterans Affairs

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo will introduce the state’s new Director of Veterans Affairs following a lunch at the National Guard Family Assistance Center in Warwick. She will be joined by leaders from across Rhode Island’s veterans community. With her FY 2016 budget, Raimondo became the first governor to include funding for a cabinet-level Director of Veterans Affairs in Rhode Island. The new position was created by statute in 2011.
