PROVIDENCE, RI – Governor Gina M. Raimondo has appointed Peri Ann Aptaker to the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority Board of Commissioners.

«When people from out-of-state visit Rhode Island, the Convention Center is often one of their first impressions of our state,» Raimondo said. «From hosting business leaders to sporting and entertainment events, these facilities are key assets for Rhode Island’s economy. With her private sector experience and her deep financial acumen, I am confident that Peri will be a valuable addition to the Board.»

«I am honored to have been selected to join the Convention Center Authority Board of Commissioners,» Aptaker said. «I look forward to serving Rhode Island.»

Peri Ann Aptaker is the Managing Director of KLR Wealth Management in Providence. She holds a law degree from Suffolk University Law School, a master’s degree in taxation from Bentley College, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.

Aptaker will replace Letitia Carter, who has resigned from the Board.

«I want to thank Letitia for her dedication and commitment to the state as part of the Convention Center Authority,» Raimondo said. «I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.»

The Convention Center Authority Board of Commissioners is composed of eleven members who manage and operate the Convention Center, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, and the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in downtown Providence.
