R.I. DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO HOST DEBATE WATCH PARTY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14 AT 8:30 P.M. AT TRINITY BREWHOUSE
WARWICK, R.I. – Representative Joseph M. McNamara, chair of the Rhode Island Democratic Party, announced today the Party will host its second Democratic Presidential Debate Watch Party, on Saturday, November 14 at 8:30 p.m. – one-half hour before the debate begins at 9 p.m. The watch party will be held at Trinity Brewhouse, 186 Fountain Street in Providence, and the Chair invites Rhode Island Democrats to join in the viewing.
The debate will be shown on CBS and Twitter and it is the second of six Democratic National Committee (D.N.C.) sanctioned debates for the now three Democratic presidential contenders: former U.S. Secy. of State Hillary Clinton, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. The debate will be held at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with the CBS affiliate KCCI-TV and the Des Moines Register.
The event is supported by the state Party’s caucuses including its LGBTQ, Latino, African American, Women, Youth, Asian American and Pacific Islander, People with Disabilities and Native American. The official hashtag for the event will be #DemDebate.
