 Providence Police presented a check for $6,360.00 to Cops for Kids with Cancer charity

Providence, RI- Through Colonel Clements and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3,
members of the Providence Police Department participated in No-Shave November to
benefit the Cops for Kids with Cancer charity. Cops for Kids with Cancer is an
organization focused on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children
fighting cancer and to help improve their quality of life.
Throughout the month of November, officers were allowed to grow facial hair in
exchange for a donation. Approximately 170 officers participated and $6,200 has
been raised for Cops for Kids with Cancer.
The check was present at the Providence Public Safety Complex, 3rd Floor Atrium. Officers Michael Pattie, David
Harington, and David Impagliazzo organized this fundraiser, in coordination with
Colonel Clements and the F.O.P.
About No-Shave November: No-Shave November is a month-long journey during which
participants forgo shaving in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer
awareness. It is a web-based, non-profit organization devoted to growing cancer
awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education.
