Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz named Carly Fiorina as His Running Mate

INDIANAPOLIS — Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, in a presidential primary fight in which Donald J. Trump is closing in on victory, announce Wednesday afternoon that Carly Fiorina will be his running mate if he wins the Republican nomination, two campaign advisers confirmed.

The announcement was prompted by the same forces that pushed Senator Cruz to strike the nonaggression pact with Governor Kasich on Sunday:  Polling in Indiana showed Cruz down double-digits in Indiana last week, according to two Republicans familiar with the findings.
