Police investigating fatal shooting in New Bedford

Massachusetts – Police responded early Thursday morning to a 911 call and arrived at the corner of Myrtle and Cedar Grove in New Bedford where they found an man injured by a gunshot wound and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where he later died.

Authorities identified the deceased as 23 Patrick Alves of New Redford and are treating the case as a homicide.
