Pawtucket – The Pawtucket Advisory Commission on Arts & Culture (PACAC) will host a
reception to showcase its latest gallery exhibit featuring the art work of City
employees, elected officials and those serving on City Commissions. The reception is
scheduled for Monday, February 8, 2016 at Pawtucket City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue.
The event will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PACAC’s gallery exhibit runs to
February 26, 2016.

Miriam R. Plitt, PACAC’s Chair notes that the «City Art Exhibit» is a great way to
show the talent of its artistic employees. «It just makes sense to promote our
creative work force,» says Plitt, in a community that strongly supports the arts.

«This very unique gallery exhibit has caught the eye of the public and we are proud
to highlight the many talents of our City employees,» says Mayor Donald R. Grebien.
«The reception will be a fun way to meet not just our talented City employees, but
also our elected officials and Commission members,» continued the Mayor.

The art displayed at Pawtucket City Hall is part of a rotation of art exhibits that
change every three months. The rotations of exhibits are part of an initiative by
the PACAC in conjunction with Mayor Grebien, to champion public art and celebrate
Pawtucket’s rich artistic identity.
