Lincoln, RI –January 3, 2018 – Howley Bread Group (HBG), a Panera Bread Franchisee with 28 cafés in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, will begin hiring for up to 100 new jobs in the Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts market, beginning in early spring. The jobs are the result of a new service, café-based delivery (CBD), which offers customers at-home delivery of their favorite Panera foods. The initiative is being launched by Panera Bread in select markets across the United States. HBG currently offers CBD across seven cafés in Connecticut.

 

“We are so pleased to bring café-based delivery to our customers throughout Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts while creating a significant number of new jobs,” said Tom Howley, Senior Vice President, Howley Bread Group. “Café-based delivery will be offered at seven of our cafés throughout the area.  The positions for this new service present a convenient employment option for students who need flexible hours, for parents looking for part-time work and for seniors who are interested in becoming part of our Panera family.”

CBD drivers will be responsible for delivering food to customers safely and efficiently and should have excellent communication and people skills. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Applicants should be 18 years or older, have access to reliable transportation with all insurances, and food service experience is preferred but not required.
