Pakistan Denies President Pervez Musharraf To Leave the Country
A special court in Pakistan refused the request of the former military Pervez Musharraf to leave the country.
The Court found that it was the federal government who placed Musharraf in the list that prohibits certain people from leaving the country and that only the Administration may decide whether or not to remove his name from the list.
It’s the same court that Monday condemned Musharraf for treason, the first time that an ex-Chief of the Pakistani army receives these charges in a civilian court.
Musharraf pleaded not guilty to all charges.
