One Suspect Arrested and Arraigned on Narcotics Distribution

CENTRAL FALLS – On August 11, 2016 members of the Central Falls Police Special Investigative Unit, Detective Bureau and the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force, executed a court authorized search warrant at 606 Dexter Street, second floor. Upon arrival, Detectives came in contact with the renter of the apartment identified as Jose Santiago (55) and who was detained at the house. A search of the apartment was conducted, in which detectives located and seized a quantity of Heroin and Crack Cocaine.

Santiago was taken into custody and subsequently charged with: Manufacture and Delivery of Heroin; Manufacture and Delivery of Cocaine; and Distribution near a School Zone. Santiago was arraigned this afternoon in District Court and was held without bail. He is scheduled back in court for a Bail Hearing on August 24.
