The name of Shakira is prohibit in Mexico

The name of the Colombian singer Shakira has been banned in the state of Sonora, Mexico so that no child shall be registered under this name.

According to various international media reported as Antena 3 in Spain, the new law on civil registry in that state prohibits the newborn are registered with the name.

According to the law, it is trying to prevent children from becoming victims of harassment carrying names of well-known personalities.

Other names that have been banned in this location are: Wisin y Yandel, Facebook, Rambo, Jesus Christ and Madonna, among others.
