Municipal Court Announces Night Court Availability

PROVIDENCE, RI— The Providence Municipal Court today announced that evening hours will soon be added to better accommodate the needs of the public.

Beginning June 5th, cases regarding parking and red light camera violations will be heard on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m., with a check-in time of 5:00 p.m. Environmental violations, including garbage violations, will also be heard on Monday evenings.

Municipal Court officials are hopeful that opening up a time slot outside of traditional office hours will lessen the burden on people who wish to make their cases heard in court.

At this time, Night Court hours will not be available for moving violations. Anyone who wishes to learn more about Night Court or move a court date to a Monday evening is encouraged to contact Municipal Court at 401-243-6414.
