CENTRAL FALLS – Members of the Central Falls Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit (SIU), the Newport Police Narcotics Unit, and the Pawtucket Police Special Squad executed a search warrant yesterday at 517 High Street in Central Falls, seizing large amounts of cocaine with a street value of approximately $3,500. Also located were digital scales, packaging materials, cooking agents, US currency, multiple cellular phones, and a loaded .40 caliber firearm.

The focus of the investigation was Todd Brown (32) the renter of the aforementioned apartment and during the joint operation, it was learned that Brown was manufacturing and distributing cocaine from Central Falls to Newport.

Brown was arrested in Newport earlier in the evening by members of the Newport Police Department and the Central Falls Police Department with a large quantity of cocaine and US currency in his possession. The intelligence gathered leading up to Brown’s arrest is what led to a search warrant being issued for his address in Central Falls.

Brown was charged with manufacturing with intent to deliver cocaine 1oz-1Kilo, possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, possession of a firearm by a felon, and maintaining a common nuisance. He was arraigned in 2nd District Court on Newport Police Department’s charges where he was ordered held without bail – he is scheduled to appear in 6th District Court on charges brought by the Central Falls Police Department tomorrow morning.
