Messer Street Fire Station to temporarily close for construction

Engine 8 and Ladder 2 to relocate to nearby stations and will continue providing service within their normal district

Providence, RI: The Messer Street fire station will be temporarily closed for capital improvements that will be made within the station over the course of approximately 30 days. Regular operations at the Messer Streets station will resume as soon as construction is completed.

The engine and ladder companies that work out of the station have relocated to nearby stations and will continue providing service within their normal district. Engine 8 has relocated to the Washington Street station and Ladder 2 has relocated to the Hartford Avenue station.
