PROVIDENCE, RI – Mayor Jorge O. Elorza will join Providence Business Loan Fund
(PBLF) Director Tom Hoagland, Office of Economic Development Director Mark Huang,
Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Outreach Director Grace Diaz and Office
of Economic Opportunity Director Brian Hull to detail how the City of Providence is
encouraging and supporting small business development.

«The City offers a host of services and resources to support small business owners,»
said Mayor Elorza. «We want our business community take advantage of these
opportunities because supporting their business is a direct investment in our
neighborhoods. Join us to learn more about how we can help you start or grow your
business.»

Attendees will be able to learn about prerequisites for small loans through PBLF,
how to navigate the streamlined and digitized application process for obtaining a
business license or permit and other support the City provides. Attendees will also
have the opportunity to solicit services from state and local business development
organizations, which will be afforded space and tables to meet with participants.

Parking will be made available to the public at the parking lot adjacent to the
municipal building accessible by Greene Street.
