bruce davis 2California Prison authorities granted parole to Bruce Davis, a former member of the criminal group created in the late 60s by the infamous Charles Manson – called Manson Family, and who is serving life imprisonment for two murders .
Davis, 71, was convicted in 1972 for the murders of musician Gary Hinman Kill and stuntman Donald ‘Shorty’ Shea, in 1969.
The decision to grant parole does not necessarily imply that Davis will be released, as it now up to the governor of California to decide on the matter.
Last year Brown denied Davis parole considering him to still be a danger to society. In 2010, the former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger did the same.
The most famous of the Manson Family murder was committed that several members of the group in 1969 in Los Angeles, when they killed actress Sharon Tate, wife of film director Roman Polanski, and four others.
Charles Manson, 79, is serving a life sentence in prison in Corcoran, California.
