Man Arrested Behind Johnston High School
JOHNSTON, R.I.— Johnston police are questioning a man who was arrested Thursday afternoon behind the city’s high school, Deputy Police Chief Dan Parillo confirms.
According to Superintendent Dr. Bernard DiLullo Jr., the man pulled into the parking lot at about noon and knocked on the back door. A teacher’s assistant asked the man what he wanted, but did not let him in the building. The employee then notified the principal and school resource officer, and the man was taken into custody by Johnston police for questioning.
A call from DiLullo went out to city parents, informing them of the situation and assuring that students are safe.
