Cumberland, RI—Civic Builders, Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) Mayoral Academy and the surrounding community will come together on Saturday, September 13 between the hours of 9am – 2:30pm to build a playground for BVP Elementary School 2 at 52 Broad Street in Cumberland. There will be over 60 volunteers from Central Falls, Pawtucket, Cumberland and Lincoln.

The playground will be open for use by the surrounding community outside of school hours and is being built as part of the Let’s Play initiative, a community partnership led by KaBOOM! and Dr. Pepper Snapple Group to get kids and families active nationwide.

Under the direction of Civic Builders, volunteers will work as a team, coming together in the name of community to build the state-of-the-art playground over the course of just one day.
