CENTRAL FALLS – On 07/28/2016, at approximately 11:08pm, police officers were dispatched to the area of 20 Fletcher Street for a report of an armed robbery with a gun.

 

Upon arrival, officers located three adult male victims ranging in age from 35-60.  The individuals confirmed that they were just robbed near the adjacent Ledge Street municipal parking lot by two men – one brandishing a firearm.  The victims reportedly complied with the demands of their assailants who instructed them to hand over their cash, a backpack and a cell phone.

 

The suspects immediately fled the area on foot with their ill-gotten gains, yet the victims revealed they had discretely followed along – being led to 23 Fletcher Street.  The victims watched the men go inside the residence and additionally spotted their thieves peek out the second floor window.

 

Officers then went to the rear of the house identified, acting in response to the information. They entered the back door of the address which was open – upon entering the dwelling, a juvenile female occupant approached them and was asked who else was inside the home.  The female stated that her two male friends were in the upstairs section of the apartment.   The pair were brought down to the kitchen area  whereby a juvenile male, 16-years-old, who resides in Central Falls was subsequently positively identified by all three victims as being one of the subjects who robbed them.  The suspect was then placed under arrest and transported to the police department for processing.  No material evidence was however located.

 

The juvenile arrestee was ordered held overnight by a Judge of the Family Court and was transported to the Rhode Island Training School last night. He was arraigned this morning in Family Court on three counts of first degree robbery and three counts of conspiracy.  He was ordered held at the Rhode Island Training School until his next court date on August 2, 2016.
