The Housing Authority for the City of Pawtucket (PHA) is pleased to announce a partnership with Blackstone Health, Inc. an affiliated subsidiary of The VNA of Care New England

Blackstone Health, Inc is a community-based non-profit health and social services agency, located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Blackstone Health is committed to providing quality health & social services and meeting the needs of senior and disabled individuals throughout the State of Rhode Island. Blackstone Health Congregate Nutrition Services [Blackstone Café] provides balanced and nutritional meals, in a community-dining setting. The program presently manages dietary services for sixteen (16) locations across the state of Rhode Island, and the newest site to open will be located at Fogarty Manor [214 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, RI].

Opening Day is scheduled for November 27, 2017. Hours of Operation will be Monday-Friday, 11:30-1:00pm, with capacity to service 50 meals per day. Reservations to participate in the meal site must be placed one week prior to the opening day.

Participation in the congregate dining program is available to individuals who reside in Pawtucket Housing properties, are at least sixty (60) years of age [and their spouse], as well as, persons with a disability under sixty (60) years of age.

Each meal contains at least 1/3 of the current daily Recommended Dietary Allowance of nutrients and considers the special dietary needs of the elderly. In addition to providing meals, the Pawtucket Housing Authority will provide access to social and community services.
