Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Veterans Memorial Park in Central Falls

The park is being built where VFW Post 1271 once stood, which was known for its display of war canons.
Mayor Diossa; “I am excited to break ground on this important project that honors our veterans and adds another greenspace for our community to come together,” said Mayor James Diossa. “This park will pay homage to our men and women who have served and offer one more option for recreation space in our city.”

The Veterans Memorial Park, located at the intersection of Hunt and Illinois Streets.
