Governor to Announce Forestry Grant Awards, Celebrate Arbor Day

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo will join state officials, the City of Woonsocket, RI Tree Council, American Forests, Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, National Grid, and other partners tomorrow morning to announce forestry grant awards and celebrate the 132nd anniversary of Arbor Day in Rhode Island. The event will include a ceremonial planting of a beech tree by students at Monsignor Gadoury Regional Catholic School and guests.

The event will take place at Holy Trinity Parish 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket, RI  and it starts at 10:00 am.
