Thomas Mosley (age 34) 21 Princeton Avenue Providence, RI P1-2016-2491AG
Evan Watson (age 27) 199 Brown Street Providence, RI P1-2016-2491BG

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Thomas Mosley and Evan Watson each with one count of murder, one count of conspiracy, one count of possession of a firearm without a license, and one count of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence. The Grand Jury also indicted Mosley of three counts of obstruction of the judicial system.

It is alleged that on or about August 13, 2014, Mosely and Watson shot and killed Yusef A’vant in the City of East Providence. It is further alleged that on multiple occasions Mosley obstructed the judicial system in the investigation of A’Vant’s murder.

The East Providence and Providence Police Departments conducted the investigation. Mosley and Evans are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Justice Robert D. Krause on September 7, 2016.

Jose Carlos Jimenez (age 29) 22 Manning Street North Providence, RI P1-2016-2492BG

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Richard Duran and Jose Carlos Jimenez each with one count of possession of heroin up to one kilo, one count of possession of heroin with intent to deliver, one count of possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, three counts of conspiracy to violate the Uniformed Controlled Substances Act, one count of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

It is alleged that on or about December 15, 2015, in the City of Providence, Durand and Jimenez sold heroin. It is further alleged that when Providence Police arrested the two on or about July 6, 2016, Duran and Jimenez were in possession of a large quantity of heroin and fentanyl, as well as a firearm.

Duran and Jimenez are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Justice Robert D. Krause on September 7, 2016.

Axel Morales (age 21) 53 Penn Street Providence, RI P1-2016-2493ADV

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Axel Morales with one count of murder, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon domestic, one count of second degree robbery, and two counts of violating a no contact order.

It is alleged that on or about July 3, 2016, in the City of Providence, Morales struck Cesar Alonzo and Karla Estrada with his motor vehicle, killing Alonzo and injuring Estrada. It is further alleged that Morales robbed Estrada and twice violated a no contact order.

The Providence Police conducted the investigation. Morales is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on September 14, 2016.

Melvin Martinez (age 33) 4 Glen Street North Providence, RI P1-2016-2494A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Melvin Martinez with possession of more than one kilo of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver. It is alleged that on or about June 7, 2016, in the Town of North Providence, Martinez was in possession of more than one kilo of cocaine.

The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. Martinez is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on September 14, 2016.

Charlene Morales (age 39) 1 Elmcroft Avenue Providence, RI P1-201602495A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Charlene Morales with one count of DUI death resulting and one count of driving to endanger death resulting.

It is alleged that on or about March 17, 2016, in the City of Providence, Morales, while driving under the influence, struck and killed 77-year-old Miguelina Perez of Providence.

The Providence Police and Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. Morales is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on September 14, 2016.

Roger Simpson (age 54) 2098 Putnam Pike Glocester, RI P1-2016-2496A
James Maffio (age 57) 62 Terrace Drive Glocester, RI P1-2016-2496B

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Roger Simpson and James Maffio each with possession of more than five kilos of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, conspiracy to violate the Uniformed Controlled Substances Act, failure to report income, and possession of marijuana without appropriate tax stamps.

It is alleged that on or about March 22, 2016, in the Town of Glocester, Simpson and Maffio were in possession of more than five kilos of marijuana, which failed to have the appropriate tax stamps. It is further alleged that Simpson and Maffio failed to report their income to the Division of Taxation.

The Glocester Police Department conducted the investigation. Simpson and Maffio will be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on September 14, 2016.
