Cranston Police Department Investigating Attempted Robbery and Shooting

The Cranston Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery and shooting that occurred this evening in the City of Cranston at the BestWay Service Station and Food Mart located at 1353 Park Avenue. At 1938 hrs, the clerk called to report the attempted robbery. The clerk suffered several gunshot wounds and was transported by Cranston Fire Rescue to Rhode Island Hospital. The victim is currently being treated for his injuries.
The suspect was captured on surveillance video committing the crime and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, skeleton mask, and gloves.
