PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Councilman Michael Correia (Ward 6) is calling on the Providence
Police to assemble a task force of officers to address graffiti in his ward.

«Graffiti is affecting property values and causing hardship for business and
families in the community,» said Correia. «With the support of the Providence
Police, we can get to the source and mitigate the amount of graffiti that plagues
our neighborhoods.»

Without proper police intervention, said Correia, «vandals’ disregard for the law
will lead to further criminal activities.»

To expedite a resolution, Correia is offering a $500 reward leading to arrest and
conviction of individuals involved in vandalism.
