Convicted Child Molester Richard Gardner Probation Violation Dismissed
On Monday a Superior Court judge dismissed a probation violation against Gardner
Gardner was arrested earlier this month by Cranston Police at his Providence residence for giving a false address when applying for a marriage license. Gardner actually lives in Providence but gave a Weymouth, Massachusetts address.
Gardner pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges related to the giving of false information and his lawyer explained that Gardner had to show a photo ID to get the marriage license and that’s the only one he had.
The judge said the charge does not warrant a probation violation.
«The conduct that I’m presented with does not justify a violation of this defendant’s probation and the imposition of a suspended term,» the judge said.
