WOONSOCKET, R.I.: The City of Woonsocket recognizes the need for greater COVID-19 testing. To advance that goal, the City’s Public Safety Division has worked closely with the Governor’s office and the Rhode Island Department of Health to develop a plan that best serves our residents. The State has identified Thundermist Health Center as a local host because of its longstanding commitment to providing medical care to the Blackstone Valley.

The expanded clinic at 450 Clinton Street will serve as a drive-thru and walk-up accessible test site. The outdoor tent facility has the ability to conduct up to 170 tests per day. You do not need to be a patient of Thundermist Health Center; however, you must have an appointment. There is no out-of-pocket cost for testing.

In a continuing effort to increase opportunities and accessibility for our community, bilingual personnel, materials and signage will be available at the site. Tests will be conducted by professional staff and all personal information will remain confidential.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting and loss of taste or smell. If you, or someone in your family think they have COVID-19 , call Thundermist Health at (401) 767-4100 for more information and an appointment to be tested.

Testing for people with COVID-19 symptoms will be conducted at:

Thundermist Health Center 450 Clinton Street Woonsocket, RI 02895 (401) 767-4100
