WASHINGTON – Just days after the Senate Commerce Committee advanced his Make it in
America Manufacturing Communities Act to the Senate floor, U.S. Congressman David N.
Cicilline will tour Goodwin-Bradley, Co. and provide an update on how his
legislation will help grow manufacturing jobs in Rhode Island after it is signed
into law.

Cicilline originally proposed a Make it in America manufacturing block grant during
his first campaign for Congress in 2010. After President Obama implemented elements
of Cicilline’s proposal as part of a White House initiative in 2013, the Rhode
Island Congressman introduced bipartisan legislation to make the initiative
permanent. Last week’s vote in the Senate Commerce Committee brings his proposal one
step closer to becoming law.

Cicilline will tour Goodwin-Bradley beginning at 10am this Wednesday, April 12th
