Central Falls Police thwarts break-in; 3 juveniles arrested

CENTRAL FALLS – On March 7, 2016 at approximately 2:00pm the Central Falls Police received a “911” call of an ensuing breaking-in at 13 Parker Street.

The caller stated that three teenagers had smashed the side window of the house and gained entry into the 1st floor apartment. Responding units surrounded the dwelling at which time two teen males jumped out of the already broken window. One was captured immediately and taken into custody, and the other began to flee on foot. However, he was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. The third assailant exited the home through the front door of the apartment and evaded capture until later that afternoon.

All three were ordered held overnight at the Rhode Island Training School by a Family Court Judge whereby two were arraigned the following day. The third was released and summoned to appear for arraignment this morning. The trio was charged with breaking and entering; conspiracy; resisting arrest; and vandalism. One of the suspects, a 15 year-old was released to the custody of his parents. The other two, both 16 years of age, were placed on home confinement with electronic monitoring.
