CENTRAL FALLS – On January 28, 2016, during the early morning hours, Central Falls police detective along with members of the patrol bureau converged upon 60 Sylvian Street to execute fugitive warrants on brothers wanted in connection with felony charges involving a handgun.

Albaro Morales, 39, and his younger brother Angel Morales, 27, were located within the second and third floor apartments and placed into custody without incident.

Arrest warrants for the pair were sought in connection with an alleged felony assault that took place on Tuesday where the victim professed to have been beaten with fists, and with a firearm, causing facial contusions and a laceration to his forehead.

According to the victim, the entire attack had taken place in view of his minor children, ages seven and four. The victim fled the area in due course and notified police.

The Morales brothers were transported to police headquarters for processing and then transported to 6th District Court for their respective arraignments.

They were charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy. Although bail was set in the amount of $50,000 with surety on their new charges, they were ordered held as Superior Court Violators from previous felony offenses. The next scheduled court date for both is March 31, 2016.
