Bristol-Warren & Cranston School Committees Support $250M School Construction Bond

Providence, RI – The Bristol-Warren and Cranston School Committees voted unanimously last night to approve resolutions in support of the proposed school construction plan, which includes a $250M State GO Bond to make a once-in-a-generation investment in Rhode Island’s public school buildings.

Bristol-Warren School Committee Member Adam Ramos said, “I am proud to have been a part of the Bristol-Warren School Committee’s unanimous vote in favor of the $250M bond and the plan to invest in our schools. We owe it to our children to ensure that they have healthy and safe spaces to learn.“ These two school committees join the Barrington, Chariho, East Greenwich, East Providence, Exeter-West Greenwich, Middletown, Newport, North Smithfield, Pawtucket, Portsmouth, Smithfield, South Kingstown, Warwick, and Westerly School Committees, that have also passed supporting resolutions.

The Providence City Council and the West Greenwich and Bristol Town Councils have also passed supporting resolutions. Several more city and town councils, and school committees are expected to consider resolutions in support of this plan, including the $250M GO Bond, over the coming weeks.
