Providence – City of Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, the Department of Art,
Culture + Tourism and Resources for Human
Development Rhode Island (RHD-RI) invite you to visit Mayor Elorza’s Community
Gallery for its newest exhibition Birds of a Feather. The exhibit is on view in the
Community Gallery at Providence City Hall, Room 203, from February 24th – March
31st, 2016. A reception will be held on March 8th from 2pm – 4pm. The exhibition
and reception are free and open to the public.

For the past two years, RHD artists have been sketching birds with instructor Amy
Rostkowski at Rhode Island School of Design’s Nature Lab. In 2016, RHD programs in
Rhode Island & Massachusetts will be collaborating on a bird themed art project that
will “migrate” to each of the states. Featured in Mayor Elorza’s Community Gallery
are some dynamic examples of the artwork that will be flying south (and north) in
the coming months.

ultimately, to share it with the rest of the world. Their daily philosophy is
centered upon the concept of freedom and the personal responsibility that comes with
