BRISTOL, RI – Following the attack that left four people dead in
London on Wednesday, all 21 Roger Williams University students studying at the
University of Westminster, in central London, have reported that they are safe.

According to news reports, a vehicle mowed down pedestrians on London’s Westminster
Bridge, and a knife-wielding attacker stabbed a police officer and was shot outside
Britain’s Parliament. The attack took place less than two miles from the University
of Westminster.

As soon as they learned of the attack, RWU officials reached out to the 21 students
who are spending the semester in London as part of the university’s Study Abroad
Programs. «It is a horrible turn of events, but we are comforted in knowing that all
the students in our London program are safe and sound,» said Kevin C. Hayden,
director of RWU’s Study Abroad Programs.
