Witman supports downtown development, recommends Providence “stays at the table”
Dianne “Dee Dee” Witman, Independent candidate for Providence Mayor, wants Providence to remain part of the negotiations as debates over I-195 land development continue.
“The I-195 is part of our Providence home; city leadership must stay engaged in the land’s development processes,” Dee Dee said Wednesday.
While Dee Dee does not support the excessive height of the proposed building and recommends going back to the drawing board, she is “100% committed” to developing the I-195 land and to developments across the city and the state.
As Mayor, Dee Dee looks forward to partnering with the Senate President, the city council, and across state leadership to make smart, intentional decisions that will benefit all Providence residents and visitors while maintaining the integrity of the capital city.
