Tickets for Historic Papal Address Now Available Through Congressman David Cicilline’s Office
PAWTUCKET – The Office of Congressman David N. Cicilline is accepting requests from residents of Rhode Island’s First Congressional District who are interested in attending Pope Francis’s address to a joint session of Congress at 10 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Pope Francis, who was elected in March 2013, will become the first pope in history to address the United States Congress.
Each House office will receive only 50 tickets for this event. Not all requests will be able to be fulfilled due to the extremely limited number of tickets. Constituents in Rhode Island’s First District interested in attending this historic event should call 729-5600 or send an emailDavid.Cicilline@mail.house.gov requesting tickets.
Ticketholders will be able to watch the address live via video on the United States Capitol West Front Lawn. Congressman Cicilline’s office will notify those receiving tickets via email.
N.B., ticket recipients will be responsible for their own travel expenses.
