Autoridades escolares despiden a director de predios

Rhode Island - El Comité Escolar de Warwick voto la noche del martes a favor de despedir al Director de Predios y Edificios Estudiantiles del sistema.  El Superintendente Philip Thornton confirmo que el comité había votado de manera unánime para despedir a David LaPlante.  Sin embargo no quiso explicar el motivo, pero si manifestó que esta relacionado con las compras y que llamaron a la policía de Warwick para que investigara.   La policía ejecuto el lunes una orden de allanamiento en la residencia de LaPlante

Policia arresta sospechoso en persecusion policial

Rhode Island - En Warwick, la policía arresto a William Marrero Castejon de Providence con varios cargos incluidos los  de agresión con un arma peligrosa, y manejar bajo la influencia.  Marrero llevo a la policía en una persecución la madrugada del miércoles a través de tres comunidades antes de que embistiera un auto patrulla con un oficial y chocara con una pared.

Block Calls On Chafee To Negotiate Short-term Contract

WARWICK, RI: Republican candidate for Governor Ken Block called on Governor Chafee to negotiate a short-term contract with state employees. "We must let the next Governor negotiate this contract,” said Block. “It doesn't make sense for our next Governor to have their hands tied. Warwick man sentenced for possessing child pornography

Rhode Island – Warwick resident, Leonard O'Neill 58 years has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for the crime of possession of child pornography. O'Neill pleaded guilty to the charges last October. Court documents show that in 2012 authorities seized from the O'Neill residence nearly 20,000 images of child pornography showing minors having sex with adult men, some with babies, and acts of bestiality.
