Hundreds of federal employees in Rhode Island have gone without pay since the shutdown began even as they perform critical services   WARWICK, —  Congressmen Jim Langevin and David Cicilline and Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse joined federal employees at Green Airport today to call on President Trump to immediately reopen the federal government. Nuala Pell, widow of the late Senator Caiborne Pell and grandmother to gubernatorial candidate, Clay Pell passed away on the morning of April 13, 2014 at Newport Hospital. She was 89 years old.
