Helping Sex Trafficking Victims Family Service of RI, Providence Police, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Share Expertise at San Diego Conference

The decade-long partnership between Family Service of Rhode Island and the Providence Police Department, and their work on sex trafficking issues, will be a focus of an upcoming international conference in San Diego on Wednesday, January 27th. The 30th annual “San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment” is sponsored by the Chadwick Center at Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego, and the University of California School of Medicine in San Diego. Charitable Organization Presents $5,000 to Pawtucket Child Diagnosed with Leukemia

Pawtucket - Briana Leon was diagnosed with Leukemia on July 7, 2015. She is twenty months old and has been receiving treatments at the Tomorrow Fund at the Hasbro Children's Hospital. Briana's mother Sandra had to quit her house keeping job to stay home and help care for Briana as she undergoes treatment. Briana resides with her four year old brother Juan and her parents in Pawtucket. Cops For Kids With Cancer (CFKWC), is a non-profit charitable organization comprised of retired police officers. State Police Arrests Subject for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs with a Seven-Year-Old Child in the Vehicle

Colonel Steven G. O'Donnell, Superintendent, of the Rhode Island State Police and Commissioner of Public Safety, announces that on April 17, 2014, Troopers assigned to the Lincoln Woods Barracks responded to a motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles on Route 195 west in the City of East Providence. One of the operators was identified as, Luis Manuel Medeiros, age 42, of 209 Brightman Street, Apt. 2, Fall River, MA. While interacting with Mr. Medeiros, Troopers observed various indicators consistent with intoxication.
